She said it was "good information for our new members and a refresher for long time members."
Debbie talked about the history of our club, how our club is part of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Kiwanis International. There are four other clubs in our division. We raise money to pay for our projects from money raised at our annual Pancake Day in the spring and Peanut Days in the fall.
She also pointed out our support in donating to spastic paralysis research through the Bowl-A-Thon and personal donations. Kiwanis clubs from around the world were responsible for contributing to the Kiwanis International Worldwide project to eliminate iodine deficiency in third world countries.
Debbie encouraged members to get to know other members better and participate in interclubs to other Kiwanis clubs. Introduce Kiwanis to friends and prospective members to help the club grow.

Mike Pritchard confirmed Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 5 at Macomb High School. This is where we help the Lincoln School PTO by serving pancakes and sausage while kids get to visit with Santa. Mike said they're expecting about 700 people so we should be busy. Debbie will start passing around a sign up sheet at next weeks meeting.

We still have an opening for our reading program at Lincoln School in December.
